As a UX designer with a journalism background, interviews, research into the heart of complex issues and clear, compelling presentations are squarely in my wheelhouse. And, I'm used to doing all of that on deadline.

Proficient in multiple UX strategies, multimedia storytelling and using email platforms, including BlueSkyFactory and MailChimp, to design and populate highly targeted newsletters. Supervisory experience in special publications, including hiring and managing freelance talent.

Completed master's degree in interactive journalism at American University in May 2015 and General Assembly UX Design Immersive program in April 2016.

    UXDI student at General Assembly

    For main project, collaborated with Peace Corps medical staff to redesign the organization's electronic health record system under a tight deadline. Tasked with identifying and resolving pain points for medical staff users located in offices worldwide. Deliverables included a redesigned landing page, patient summary page and patient visit form.

Special projects include a data analysis and visualization project based on original research of public media salaries as well as an investigation of public media’s fundraising relationship with for-profit car donation industry.
